Aamina Ahmad (OS #259, “The Red One Who Rocks”) is the author of the novel The Return of Faraz Ali (Riverhead). A graduate of the Iowa Writers’ Workshop, she has received a Stegner Fellowship from Stanford University, a Pushcart Prize, and a Rona Jaffe Writer’s Award. Her short fiction has appeared in One Story, The Southern Review, Ecotone, and elsewhere; she is also the author of a play, The Dishonored. She lives in Berkeley, CA.

Yohanca Delgado is a 2021-2023 Wallace Stegner fellow at Stanford University and a 2022 National Endowment for the Arts fellow. Her recent fiction appears in The Best American Short Stories 2022, The O. Henry Prize Stories 2022, The Best American Science Fiction and Fantasy 2021, The Paris Review, One Story, A Public Space, McSweeney’s, Zyzzyva, and elsewhere. Brad Felver (OS #218, “Queen Elizabeth”) is a fiction writer, essayist, and teacher of writing. His debut collection of stories, The Dogs of Detroit, won the Drue Heinz Literature Prize and was named one of the Best Books of 2018 by Library Journal and the Washington Independent Review of Books. His fiction and essays have appeared widely in magazines such as One Story, New England Review, Colorado Review, Story, Hunger Mountain, and many others. His honors include the O. Henry Award, the Zone 3 Fiction Prize, a fellowship to the Bread Loaf Writer’s Conference, and an Ohio Arts Council Individual Excellence Award. He lives in Ohio with his wife and two sons.

Stephen Fishbach is the Pushcart Prize-winning author of “To Sharks” (OS #273). In addition to working on his fiction, Stephen is a TV executive who has worked with companies like MTV, BET, and Logo TV to help create socially responsible programming, somewhere between airings of Spring Break and The Challenge. Josh Riedel (OS #261, “Midnight Sessions”) was the first employee at Instagram, where he worked for several years before earning his MFA in Fiction from the University of Arizona. His short stories have appeared in One Story, Passages North, and Sycamore Review. His first novel, Please Report Your Bug Here, will be published in January 2023 by Henry Holt. He lives in West Marin, California.

Shannon Sanders is the author of the linked short story collection Company. Her short fiction has appeared in One Story, The Sewanee Review, The Virginia Quarterly Review, TriQuarterly, Joyland, and elsewhere, and has received a PEN/Robert J. Dau Short Story Prize for Emerging Writers. She lives near Washington, DC with her husband and three sons.
