On Friday, April 24, 2026, our writers, readers, students, supporters, staff and fans came together at the One Story Literary Debutante Ball to celebrate five literary debutantes and hear from honoree Lauren Groff. You can learn about these amazing first books in our interviews with Senaa Ahmad, Lily Berlin Dodd, Stephen Fishbach, Cay Kim, and Lior Torenberg.
The pictures below showcase the highlight of the evening–our debutante procession–where One Story writers are escorted down the aisle by a mentor and announced to the literary community.
