In this six-week workshop with One Story author Rita Chang-Eppig (Deep as the Sky, Red as the Sea), each participant will workshop a short story or novel excerpt. We will also do close readings of published fiction, focusing on elements of craft such as point of view, description, and dialogue. The class will meet on Zoom from 6:30-8:45 ET each Tuesday night from April 16 through 21. Tuition includes a 30-minute independent meeting with the instructor.
This class is designed for writers without significant workshop experience. Enrolled students should plan on having a workshop submission (3000-5000 words) ready to send in by Monday, April 1. More information will be provided upon enrollment.
We have a limited number of scholarships for the class. Scholarships cover 50% of tuition. Recipients will be selected at random. You can apply for one here. The deadline to request a scholarship is Sunday, March 24. We will notify all entrants by Tuesday, March 26.
